HOTEL ELYSÉE – NEW YORK CITY

HOTEL PROFILE
Hotel Elysée is apart of the well-known Library Collection and is located in midtown New York City on East 54th Street between Park Avenue and Madison Avenue. The location of this boutique hotel (built in the 1920s) is within walking distance to Rockefeller Center and Grand Central Station/Bryant Park. I was also able to reach Central Park by walking by foot as well. There are many goodies to be had at Hotel Elysee such as the daily morning newspaper including titles like The New York Times and USA Today. In addition, coffee, tea, cookies, and fruit are available throughout the day for guests in the club room.
The deluxe suite is extremely spacious which makes you feel at home straight away. If you would like to cook, there is also a separate kitchen area inclusive of a gas stove, microwave, and fridge. There living room is open plan equipped with a desk and dining area. This would also be a fantastic choice for long-term stay in New York City because the suite truly feels like your own apartment due to the sheer size.

EVENING WINE RECEPTION
The club room is on the second floor and serves continental breakfast (bagels, croissants, etc.) and in the evening transforms into a complementary wine reception, which also serves cheese, crackers etc from 5- 8 pm. There you will find a choice of wines and prosecco that make for a great light snack if you’re not in the mood for a heavy meal. The club room certainly takes you back in time with its British, antique interior decor and burgundy red carpets and velvet chairs. The club room plays classical music throughout the day. I’ve observed guests that are usually reading the morning newspaper, bringing their own books or perhaps even take one off the bookshelf in the study. Guests tend to hang around this space for a while during their stay.
