TOP 2017 WINTER HOLIDAY BREAK DESTINATIONS

Christmas is now over, but the holidays have just begun. I am hoping my Millennial Travellers were able to get some off time for rest and relaxation. Depending on where you’re located, you might be experiencing below zero weather or sun tanning in your backyard. Yet, as your going through the wild weather and stuffing your face with holiday cookies, you wonder if you should travel…? Before you know it, you’ll be back to work or school and want to feel like you did something awesome/cool/extraordinary!!!

CAMBODIA

A popular Asian country to travel to in January is Cambodia because of its mild temperature and minimal chance of rainfall this time of year. Therefore, the south coast beaches of Kep and Sihanoukville are fantastic places to spend your downtime and favorable diving conditions experienced around the islands of Koh Rong and Koh Rong Samloem. With more comfortable weather conditions in Cambodia now, it makes it an ideal time for exploring the numerous, scenic temples and outdoor locations.

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

Now, for a slice of hot pie or a hot destination…bring on Sydney, Australia. Things are warming up down under this time of year. While Europe and USA are in the dead of winter, Sydney has entered into its summer season and the surf is UP! Explore Sydney’s beautiful beaches, ideal surfing locations, classy restaurants, and the Opera House. Some of the most incredible beach locations can be found in Sydney including Bondi beach. Why not also hug a koala?

 NEW YORK CITY, USA

Moving on to the USA, yes, I have to go for the cliché choice…It’s beginning to look a lot like a…White Christmas…in New York City! As if New York City isn’t on every person’s travel list anyway?  Some New Yorkers are trying to escape the snow and tourists are flocking to the fluffy, white stuff. Head over to Central Park for some wintery photo shoots, ice skating, and hot chocolate. As you wander downtown, check out the department store windows which is a staple during the holidays. Most importantly, make your way to the Rockefeller Center to capture the most gigantic Christmas tree you’ve probably ever seen!
