WHERE TO TRAVEL IN 2023? || BEST DESTINATIONS IN 2023

Millennial travel trends are growing in number and so are the destinations we choose to visit. Since Millennial travellers are keen to spread are wings, we are travelling well beyond our nation. There is more to learn beyond the borders after all. Read on to learn about some the best destinations for travellers in 2020

YARRA VALLEY, VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA

Going along with the trend of local experiences, inclusive of wine tasting (of course), let’s not discount the Yarra Valley region in the Australian state of Victoria. I got hooked on these quaint local wineries run by native Australians and European Australians alike. Yarra Valley is also home to Chandon, the region’s most historical champagne.

CHIANG MAI, THAILAND

Chiang Mai has become one of the most popular destinations for both visitors and nomads. It’s an affordable city in which many nomads make their residence for months on end. Chiang Mai is more of a low key vibe in comparison to Bangkok and hence draws tourists in because it is still filled with rich history and traditional night markets.

AEGINA, GREECE

I cozy island in Greece without the mass tourist crowds, you’ll find on other Greek islands. Aegina is a true gem that I discovered whilst visiting Athens. Make a quick ferry ride from Athens to Aegina, which is the most nearby of the islands from Port Piraeus, here you will find the best calamari (I’ve ever eaten) and great local vibes of the Greek fishing culture, local cuisine, and colorful buildings. A mini escape from the tourist bustle on the mainland and a picturesque oceanic landscape.

VENICE, ITALY

Venice might just be my favorite place on earth! The city draws me in through architecture, reasonably priced food (compared to Rome), and its multicolored scenery. A destination fit for both photographers and food lovers alike. Don’t forget to eat gelato daily…treat yourself! Click here to discover why Venice is so special!

UYUNI SALT FLATS, BOLIVIA

Not the most touristic part of South America, which is fantastic if a raw cultural experience is what you’re searching for. Bolivia is high in altitude compared to other countries on the continent, so definitely beware prior to arrival. Nonetheless, Bolivia’s Uyuni salt flats still hold the reputation of being the world’s largest at over 4,000 miles in length. The Uyuni salt flats are the result of prehistoric lakes that evaporated ages ago, pretty cool indeed.

MONTANA, USA

Montana is maybe a less obvious state to visit,  but it is quite the natural beauty. Billings, Montana in particular is also where the 2019 TBEX North America conference was held. Billings is the largest city in Montana’s  beautiful southeast region with plenty of nature trails and outdoor activities galore. If you want to explore “cowboy culture” and watch rodeos or enjoy mountain hikes whilst breathing in the fresh country western air, then this is the destination for you. Make sure to visit Glacier National Park for stunning panoramic views as well.
