MILLENNIAL TRAVELLER SUMMER PRODUCT ESSENTIALS 2018

This time around, I am compiling a compact list of summer product essentials I like to use when traveling during the summertime. In the western hemisphere, summer has arrived after nearly half a year of winter. Therefore, I am looking forward to getting started on the product planning, which may include skincare products, accessories, etc. This initial post will be a general overview of the core products that every traveller should have on hand. Later, we will break down a men’s and women’s (including dedicated beauty post) version of this post, so stay tuned!

#1 POWER BANK

Don’t leave home without it. A power bank is for those emergency cases when you cannot find a charger port anywhere or when your phone suddenly dies halfway to your hotel.

#2 SUNSCREEN

I can’t stress enough how many travellers I’ve seen that do not even carry sun protection. I am the first to inform a person to protect their skin against the harsh rays of the sun, particularly when traveling through Asia or Australia. Coola is a great brand because it is an organic, mineral sunscreen and the scents are also delicious!

#3 TRAVELLER WATER BOTTLE

Another important product that keeps you hydrated on those scorching summer days is a water bottle. If you would like to hold on to your water and keep it fresh, then getting a quality water bottle is worth it. Carrying around plastic just doesn’t work in the heat!

#4 WATERPROOF 30L DRY BAG

If you’re into water sports or simply enjoy swimming to cool down, a bag with a waterproof interior cannot be forgotten. This particular bag has a tight seal closure also, so stay dry no matter what you do!

#5 LIGHTWEIGHT BACKPACK

I personally travel with both a lightweight backpack and also a carry-on; sometimes both in fact. Here’s a slim backpack with laptop storage and adjustable straps – great for those quick weekend trips!

#6 NOISE CANCELLING HEADPHONES

Whenever I want to drown out the sounds of city summer tourists, I go to my noise-cancelling headphones to give me chill vibes. This one featured also has up to a 30-hour battery life. Exchange those cheap, plastic airline headphones for something with quality bass sound.

#7 SMART CARRY-ON LUGGAGE

As far as luggage goes, I either travel solely with a carry-on piece of luggage or with multiple pieces. I guess I still need to learn how to pack less! Smart luggage is a great option these days, which offers a bluetooth enabled-lock and integrated luggage scale.
